If we are products of what we eat, what we say, and what we do.. YIKES!!
The possibilities are endless but the ball of responsibility of health and happiness is alway in our court.
There is a lot in life to choose from... we have decisions every day.
Let's take today for example. Here's a list of decisions that I was faced with:
1. My alarm goes off. Will I get up or stay in bed?
2. What will I wear for work?
3. What are the priorities at work for today?
4. What am I going to eat for lunch?
5. What drink from Starbucks will I get that someone is buying for me?
And the list goes on.
There aren't always massive decisions everyday. We don't have someone asking us to marry them every day. We don't have the "buying a house today?"
However there are decisions that are small that have great outcomes... both positive and negative.
What you eat and how you live are ENORMOUS decisions. What are you believing, choosing, and ultimately even eating!?
This is one of my favorite photographs of all time. I've referred to it when I've spoken at seminars and small groups, and I often place myself in that picture in my mind. Take a look at it.
We are women of value but we definitely don't always live like it. For example, there are many of us that invest our time into people who take advantage of us, other of us eat crap and don't care, and other compare and envy the lives of other people totally ungrateful for our own life. We are ALL guilty of some form of devaluing ourself. How we think, what we think about, and even what we eat, all affects who we are and what kinds of things we invest our time and money into. Everyday. It matters.
In thinking about health and wellness I think it's important to know that we are what we eat. Super simple, hard to act out.
I am sticking to Arbonne's "Feeling Fit" Health and eating guide! (It came free with my purchase of the "Feeling Fit" guide)
I guess today I am broccoli, chicken, olive oil, and a smoothie! Oh, I'm also a woman of value and a woman who loves ARBONNE!
Good choices, but that is not every day... unless I make it a habit and I intentionally choose what I eat and how I think.
Tonight I made some good choices... I'm getting better and though my decisions aren't always the best, I am learning to be consistent and to become more aware and educated about what I am eating.
I used my stove and steamed some brocolli and added cheese.
I also made some chicken, and a smoothie... OH BOY!
Did you know that actually "COOKING" and not using a microwave is better and healthier for you?! It may take more time, but your body will thank you later for using the dusty stove knobs to cook those yummy vegetables you've had in your freezer so long you don't remember when you bought them! USE YOUR STOVE!
